BETSY BURGETT
Trauma Therapy Intern
Betsy Burgett is a counseling intern working under the supervision of Angie Brower, LCSW. She brings extensive multicultural experience from seventeen years of living in the Middle East, which has strengthened her ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Betsy’s clinical experience includes helping people navigate issues of sexuality and unwanted sexual behavior, depression, anxiety, religious trauma, and ADHD.
She is especially passionate about supporting clients who feel stuck and are wanting to move forward and flourish. Betsy’s therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and she strives to create a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable exploring the areas of their lives that need care and healing. Her goal is to empower individuals to gain hope and self-awareness, build on their strengths, and make meaningful steps toward positive change.
Betsy is now accepting new clients and is currently seeing teens, adults, individuals and couples.
